Active Schools primary have a new after school programme to take primary 1-3 into the playground to experience an outdoor adventure. The programme has fun and energetic games, similar to TOPS outdoors but with the added bonus of minimal preparation for the volunteer. The programme is based over a 6-week block and covers topics such as weather, animals, trees, plants & seeds, homes and hidey holes, sights and sounds and insects. Children are able to investigate their playground while looking for cards and answers in each game. Active Schools are looking for outdoor loving volunteers to take an outdoor adventure course in your area. Training will be provided and resourses will be available. Youth Games
- The Youth Games is a well-established annual Sports Event in East Lothian focussing on the six core sports: Rugby, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Badminton. The event is primarily delivered by the Sports Development Unit with a combined effort from both Primary and Secondary Sports Coordinators, teachers and School Senior Management.
